Ultimately, Jesus is the author (Hebrews 12:2) and without Him this work would not be available or possible. He is the One who challenged Pam to pen the words and compile the widow stories already written in the Word of God. He is the One who wants you to know how much He loves you in your time of grief and loss. And, so does Pam. Even though she is not a widow, she desires for you to see the Father’s hand in your life, to hear Jesus calling your name and to feel the Spirit comfort you. For God sees you. Jesus hears you. The Spirit truly is there to comfort you. He promises to never leave you or forsake you. (Hebrews 13:5)

Pam and her husband, Roger, live in northwestern Pa. The Lord has blessed them with a daughter, Meredith and her husband, Dave, a son, Kyle and his wife, Talia, and four very grand grandchildren!

She and her husband presently attend the East Smethport United Christian Church where she teaches the ladies’ Bible study among many other ministries.

Pam has been the ladies retreat speaker for the Association of Evangelical Churches, Inc. through which she earned her license to preach the Gospel in 2013. “P3 Ministries”, Prison to Praise with Pam Ministries, is a recognized member of this association to declare that the Gospel of Jesus Christ releases us from “The Prison of Sin to Praising the Lord”.

Her mission trips include Honduras, Ecuador, Africa and Colombia as well as preaching the Gospel at the local jail.

Here is the shortened version of how “Widows of the Bible” came about.

This was very unexpected and certainly not part of my plan at all.

In August 2013 the Lord called me to a month long mission trip to Africa in February 2014. It was the trip of a lifetime to be able to preach to so many in Kenya, Uganda and Tanzania along side of Kathy Henry and Pastor Richard Weagraff. Two years ago I was asked to return to Kenya but the Lord was very clear that I was not to go. Pastor understood but asked if I would write a devotional for widows. I said yes before I realized what had just come out of my mouth! Especially since I am not a writer or a widow!

The Lord impressed on my heart to compile widow stories from the Bible and to write out the messages from His heart to theirs. Having only four months to complete this task, I was on my knees before my Father continually. This was way beyond myself but of course, He proved to be just as faithful as He always has been to me. But, I have to tell you that it's much easier, for me, to preach a sermon than to write it!

In my thinking that's all I thought this study was for. Honoring what I had been asked to do for Africa. God had bigger plans. Through a course of events I submitted the manuscript to Christian Faith Publishing last August 2022 which was accepted without exception within a few days and is now ready for purchase. If I had traveled to Kenya the study would not be in writing where it can reach so many more people.

My prayer is for the Lord to place this small devotional into the hands of grieving widows so the body of Christ can be ministered to and for the salvation of those who are lost that they may find comfort in Christ during their time of loss.

The Lord has truly blessed and humbled me in the writing and publishing process. I have been giving this manuscript away for the past year and a half to every widow the Lord brought to mind. They seemed to come out of the woodwork! As I handed it out it was like giving water to their thirsty soul and they hadn't even read it. I'm praying every part was "seed to the sower" and trusting God to bring the increase for His purpose to be fulfilled.

I want to share one particular story of salvation that is incredible. One woman took it and gave it to her mother in law. She was distraught and was going to commit suicide. She says the Lord stopped her by reminding her of the devotional. She arose to read it and God saved her life in more than one way.

I'm so thankful for having this opportunity to spread the Gospel.

Please be praying for His message to reach many.

Ephesians 2:10, I am His workmanship, I was created in Christ Jesus for this good work, which He prepared beforehand, that all I have to do is walk in it.

And, He will be faithful to complete it. Philippians 1:6.
