Angela North

Angela is a psychologist with 30 years’ experience working with children, adolescents, and their families. Angela is passionate about sharing strategies with parents and educators, so that they may respond therapeutically to children’s needs, guiding behaviour and building authentic, respectful relationships. Angela offers a unique approach, using mindfulness, play therapy and other compassion-based strategies for calmer homes and classrooms.

Angela is a presenter on child mental health, writes for the Australian Psychological Society and is the Principal Consultant Psychologist for a specialist Melbourne primary school for children with social, emotional and behavioural problems. She has participated in research assessing social-emotional supports within schools, has written extensively on autism, and has an interest in parenting, autism and ADHD across the lifespan, trauma, gender, sexuality and cross-cultural efficacy.
