Mary Van Essen

Mary Van Essen has just released her first book, Only For You, Lord: The faith journey of a pastor's wife. Her greatest joy has been working alongside her husband, Martyn, who is a pastor. For the past 34 years, they've helped people to see God for who he is, encouraging and nurturing their relationship with him.

Mary is now devoting her life to writing and speaking, sharing with others her love for the Lord and helping them in their own faith journey. With a Bachelor of Applied Arts in Journalism from Ryerson Polytechnical Institute (now Toronto Metropolitan University), she has worked professionally in marketing and communications.

The mother of four grown children, whom she homeschooled, one of her most spectacular joys is being “Nana” to five grandchildren, with a sixth on the way.
