Sami Greenfield

Born with her middle name Joy, Sami Greenfield brings sunshine and laughter to any group she mingles with. Growing up in a home bubbling with activity of four kids and five pets, her parents, Pake & Pookie, taught them the importance of slowing down with a good book, a power nap, or a warm bath.

After being cut from the ballet troupe at age eleven, Sami was inspired to write about her feelings, and her book Susie & the Ballet Teacher was published at the Belmont Public Library. When her family moved to the South, she continued to use her pen to express herself. Throughout high school and college she was penpals with a boy from her sixth-grade homeroom. After eleven years, those notes turned into love letters. Twenty-six years later, they live in Massachusetts with their two sons, a rescue dog, and for a short time, a rescue owlet.

Sami’s goal is to inspire others to find joy and create a ripple of sparking generosity across the community, one joyburst at a time.
