Sonya Murray-Darden

Dr. Sonya L. Murray-Darden is and the CEO/Founder of Equity Matters LLC, an organization focused on adult learning using educational equity best practices for navigating change for a more equitable world. She is a veteran educator and transformational leadership coach with over two decades of broad experience as an author, researcher, administrator, reading interventionist, and former teacher of the year.

Corwin Press published her new co-authored book Serving Educational Equity: A Five-Course Framework for Accelerated Learning in May 2023.

Sonya earned a Doctor of Philosophy in Teaching & Learning and advanced degrees in elementary education and education administration from The University of Missouri-St. Louis and Harris Stowe University.

Dr. Murray-Darden enjoys traveling and spending time with her family and friends.
