Grace E. Chase, born in Houston, Texas, spent her growing up years reading any book she could get her hands on. During her formative years, her family moved to Central Texas. It was here that Grace would begin writing poetry, as she wandered through the trees of her family's homestead. She dreamed of traveling the world. Later on, when she began traveling, she would find that writing would help her commemorate her experiences. In her early thirties, she experienced some personal hardships where she once again turned to writing in order to find hope. She decided to make these poems public, in her book, "Out of the Shadows." In this book, she writes on different topics of grief in the hopes of helping others who might find themselves in similar situations. Grace is a nurse, a writer, a humanitarian, and a staunch supporter of justice everywhere.
