April Lorenzi is a performer, educator, and author who believes dance can be a powerful tool for building confidence, resilience, creativity, and life skills.
After experiencing firsthand how mental skills transformed her own life both on and off the stage, April set out to help others discover the same tools through dance. She found these power skills not only helped her professionally as a performer but also became valuable tools for everyday life — a “secret” that was rarely discussed but made a lasting impact.
April’s global career has taken her across the United States, Europe, the Caribbean, Brazil, and Dubai. Her performance highlights include three years with Walt Disney World and additional work with Motiongate Dubai Theme Parks, Parque de Atracciones in Madrid, MSC Cruises, contemporary dance companies, and various entertainment productions.
As an educator and choreographer, April has worked with dancers of all ages and abilities, from young beginners to professional performers. She is the creator of The Secret Dance Technique, an online dance education program that uses movement to help children develop confidence, creativity, focus, resilience, and other future-ready life skills.
April holds a Bachelor of Arts degree with dual majors in Psychology and Interdisciplinary Studies, specializing in Performance Psychology, along with a minor in Dance. She is the author of The Secret Dance Technique, The Daily Dance Diary, and Travel Like a Local Orlando.
