Kathryn Bignall

Meet Kathryn Bignall - a passionate children's book author and illustrator who is dedicated to inspiring young readers' imagination. She has always loved telling stories, especially during long car rides with her brothers before the days of tablets. Her debut book, INVISIBLE FRED, is a whimsical tale that aims to make young readers laugh and take action. Kathryn intentionally wrote the story with a repetitive structure to create familiarity and boost children's self-confidence. She has shared the story with countless children who always enjoy joining in with the repeated phrase, "Invisible Fred, go away! You're not pickin on my friends today!" Kathryn's love for storytelling and teaching is evident in her writing, and she hopes to encourage a deep love of reading and spark imagination in children everywhere.
