Irina Makarevich

Irina Makarevich was born in Ukraine. She grew up in Odesa, a city framed by the beauty of the Black Sea and surrounded by historical legends. Love for the Ukrainian culture brought her to Odesa State University where she studied Ukrainian language and literature. After graduating from university, she worked as an instructor for a middle school, as a tour guide of her beloved city, and for the regional newspaper. In 1997 she immigrated to the USA and stayed in the Pacific Northwest where she's currently assisting Ukrainian refugees in the local community.
