JOSE LUIS MORA CASTRO

José Luis Mora was born in Mexico City in 1943 and studied electrical mechanical engineering at the National Autonomous University of Mexico; he always combined mathematics with his love for literature and music. At a very young age, he was director of the Informática magazine with circulation in Mexico and several Latin American countries. Since university, he has been an enthusiastic researcher in computer science, having written numerous articles in various magazines on this subject and participated in more than twenty international conferences. Together with a colleague, he wrote the book “Introducción a la Informática”, which was a textbook at various Spanish-speaking universities, from 1972 to 1989, having achieved a circulation and sale of more than 270,000 copies. He was a professor for 42 years at the National Autonomous University of Mexico. As part of his concerns, he has dedicated himself to researching and studying the future of the human species, carrying out an extensive review of books and documents prepared by various specialists. His greatest concern is related to the future of humanity, a subject that he is enormously passionate about.
