Owen E. Williams

Pastor Owen Williams is the pastor of St. Mark Missionary Baptist Church and the retired Director of Pastoral Care Services at Kings County Medical Center. Pastor Williams has a Bachelor of Science degree in Administrative Planning in Criminal Justice and Criminology, a Master's degree in Christian Ministry and Pastoral Counseling, an Honorary Doctorate in Christian Ministries, and a graduate of the New York City Police Department Citizens Academy.

Pastor Williams is the President of the Queens Federation of Churches Board of Directors, a board member emeritus of Live on NY, a member emeritus of the 103rd Precinct Executive Community Board, and a member of the Committee for Religious Liberties in Washington, DC. The founder and president of O.E Williams Ministries Inc., a non-profit organization with a footprint in Johannesburg, South Africa.

At St. Mark, he has established many ministries and conducted workshops on deaconship, missions work, vacation Bible schools, book bag/backpack giveaways, clothing and food pantries, healthcare, and social services.

At O. E Williams Ministries, he conducted semi-annual certification training for social workers, schoolteachers, crisis counselors, police officers, and clergy on Solution Focus Pastoral Counseling in South Africa.

At Kings County Medical Center, he was responsible for an Ecumenical Ministry that served the spiritual needs of over 600 patients and 5,000 staff. He created an extensive community outreach program, lay chaplain volunteer program, and grief counseling services for patients, family members, and staff. He also headed the systemwide spiritual council.
