Hank Hudepohl spent his childhood in Kentucky, attended Harvard, and served in the US Navy as an officer on an aircraft carrier. Later, he earned an MFA from Hollins University in Virginia, where he also taught creative writing, and co-edited The Hollins Critic. He has published six books of poetry: Four Hearts, Psalms, Heights, Praise Poems, Riverbank, and The Journey of Hands. He has also published a children's book about a bunny and a kite. His work has appeared in literary journals and magazines, and has been featured on the NPR show The Writer’s Almanac multipe times. Hudepohl now lives with his family in Kentucky, and he is a proud descendant of the Hatfields.
