Shawnta Auston

Shawnta Auston is an author, entrepreneur, and advocate for personal growth whose work centers on empowerment, identity, and becoming - at every stage of life.

A devoted mother of an adult daughter and fraternal twins, and a proud grandmother, Shawnta has spent much of her life caring for, guiding, and advocating for others. With an early dream of becoming a pediatrician, her heart for service and nurturing was evident from the start. Although her path led her into the corporate world - where she excelled as a leader, coach, and mentor - her calling to uplift and empower others never left her.

Shawnta began writing children’s books inspired by her own family, creating stories that help children - particularly twins - feel seen, confident, and proud of their uniqueness. Her work encourages self-expression, emotional awareness, and a strong sense of identity from an early age.

In addition to her work as an author, Shawnta is the founder of a hair solutions brand created to support women experiencing hair loss. Through education, products, and advocacy, she has helped women navigate deeply personal transitions with dignity, confidence, and care.

Her recent work, including Becoming Me and Becoming Me: The Companion Journal, reflects a natural evolution of that same mission - supporting women as they move through life transitions, reconnect with themselves, and step forward with clarity and intention.

Across every project, Shawnta’s purpose remains the same: to create spaces - on the page and beyond - where people feel seen, supported, and empowered to become who they truly are.
