Dr. Edna Hooker Hall was born in Wilson County, Stantonburg, NC on December 23, 1954, to the late Hattie Bell Hooker and the late Raymond Wooten, Sr. She graduated from Greene Central High School in June 1973 and on November 9, 1973, she married the late, Isaac Hall. She has three children, Camille Hall Cooper, Kevin T. Hall and Xeniana D. Edwards. She has 3 grandchildren. Landon B. Hall, Logan and Langston Cooper.
Prior to graduation I worked on the farm and took care of my siblings. After graduating from high school, she worked at Blue Bell Factory in LaGrange NC from 1973-1977. Then she worked at TRW in Kinston until it closed down. 1977-1980. She enrolled in LCC in September 1980. She Graduated with an Associate's Degree in Vocational Studies at Lenoir Community College (1982). She became a Cosmetology Instructor (2yrs) and received her Early Childhood Credentials in 1983. Licensed cosmetologist and salon owner (Edna's Corner) 1982-2020. Dr. Hall received her Bachelor’s Degree in Biblical Counseling (2005) and Master’s Degree in Christian Counseling, along with her Certificate in Christian Counseling and Psychology both from Christian Bible College & Seminary, Independence, MO (2008. She has two Doctorate degrees: Honorary Doctorate in Theological Studies from First Biblical Seminary and Bible College, Goldsboro NC (2003) and a Doctorate in Christian Counseling and Psychology from The United American FWB Bible College, Kinston, NC. (2010) Dr. Hall has published 2 books. One entitled Surviving Spiritual Bootcamp published in 2018. The second one is Groomed to Groom published in 2023. Waiting to be published soon is entitled “From the Castle to the Castle". Dr. Hall preached her initial sermon on Oct 3, 1977, at Hull Road FWB Church and was ordained December 1978 and has proven to be a true woman of God. She served for twenty-eight years in different areas of ministry until August 2000. She became the Founder/Pastor of Chara Ministries Deliverance Center in Snow Hill, NC, which was organized August 6, 2000. As Pastor she is dedicated to all the disciples of her church, and anywhere else she is needed. Dr. Hall strives to get to know each disciple on a personal level and seeks to meet the needs of that disciple, where they are in life. She brings to life the scripture that says, “And the lord said unto the servant, Go out into the highways and hedges, and compel them to come in, that my house may be filled.” Luke 14:23 KJV. She has proven that she is not afraid to go down in the trenches and do whatever it takes to reach a soul that has been lost. On January 1, 2001, she became the founder & director of Chara’s Community Developmental & Recreational Complex; a - 501(c) 3 non-profit organization and she implemented the Bearing Our Babies” program. The goal of the organization is to reach out to children in and out of the community. Striving to give them positive interaction through After School Programs and Summer Enrichment Programs. Dr. Hall is also the owner of Edna’s Corner where she has worked full-time as a cosmetologist for 38 years. She volunteered as a Chaplain at United Health Lenoir Hospital, Kinston, NC, formerly known as Lenoir Memorial Hospital and presently volunteers at Vidant Medical Center, Greenville NC. On November 1, 2009, she was appointed as an Administrative Assistant to the The NWB Annual Bishop J.E. Reddick and now under the leadership of Bishop Antonio Blow. She serves as the Registrar for the National Convention of FWB, USA. She also serves as the Choir Director of the NWB District Union One choir. June 2023 was elected as the General Conference Financial Secretary. Lastly, Dr. Hall is an anointed and prolific singer, teacher, and preacher and her favorite scripture is Isaiah 54:17 “No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper; and every tongue that shall rise against thee in judgment thou shalt condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the LORD, and their righteousness is of me, saith the LORD”.
