Hello, I am Mrs. Yvonne B. Cox, the Author of the Pearlie...I Dream Book Series. My husband (Pastor Tommy L. Cox) and I live in Columbus, Mississippi. I am a lifetime educator! I love teaching and working with children. I am retired and have served as a Special Education Teacher, Director of Special Services, Education Consultant, and School Board Member. I proudly say I am the Author of Children's Books, a DREAM COME TRUE!

The Pearlie... I Dream Book Series is a succession of non-fiction, diverse, educational - teaching and learning tools with an abundance of family values and love. My beloved character, Pearlie is the center of my own personal stories. I write to share how a child thinks and will work through life's situations and circumstances. Pearlie shares precious memories and sometimes hardships as a small child. These life experiences prepared her for future aspirations that she could only dream of. My books are written for children, parents, teachers, childcare professionals, and anyone who appreciates teachable moments to enhance the reading experience. My vision is to motivate our young readers to read from hard copy books again, turning the pages of their imagination while dazzling their minds.

I am grateful to have written and become a published author of the five (5) Pearlie...I Dream Book Series! The manuscript throughout each book is written in such a way that the illustrations must be artistically created to compliment the storylines on each page. Beginning readers learning concepts are drawn into the storyline through the bold and colorful illustrations while learning the words in the manuscript.
