Marshall Critchfield

Marshall Critchfield was born in Florida and has lived in the Midwest and Washington, DC. His passion for writing began while majoring in History at Florida Atlantic University in Boca Raton. He later earned an MBA at Palm Beach Atlantic University and wrote his final (100-page) paper about the Costco phenomenon. After working in public affairs for twenty years, he wrote his first fiction book, Alumni Affairs. The novel follows the life of a young leader recruited to run for congress fresh from his graduation from the University of Florida.

Critchfield's second book, Government Affairs, picks up where the story left off.

Both stories reflect the views of a novice politician who has to navigate the exciting world grassroots politics, friendship, and falling in love. Readers will appreciate Critchfield's character development, first-hand knowledge of the subject matter, and fast-paced story telling.

While some have referred to his work as 'beach reads,' Mr. Critchfield prefers to think of his work as political fiction with a strong emphasis on realistic romance. He keeps the political references light and the laws of attraction - heavy.
