Syn Fraser

Syn Fraser writes romance and fantasy for readers who know that books are better with a little fantasy in them. Her stories are full of imagination and characters who stick with you- and just enough complication to make the happily ever after feel earned.

A Michigan native now living in Northern Iowa, Syn discovered her love of writing in high school, when an English teacher made the mistake of encouraging a passion she mostly kept to herself-which, in retrospect, was probably a mixed blessing for everyone involved. Years of classes, workshops, raising a family, and collecting characters who refused to vacate the premises eventually left her with no reasonable alternative but to put them on the page.

When she isn't writing, Syn serves as Chief Operating Officer of a household that includes one husband, three children, and four granddaughters who have successfully outvoted her lone grandson. She also holds the official title of Personal Valet to a Great Dane who believes she's a lapdog. Between the children's debates, the dog's existential crises, and the fictional characters staging mutinies in her imagination, silence exists only as a philosophical concept she occasionally Googles.

Fortunately, there's always coffee, ice cream, and the occasional strategic retreat to the bathroom with a lock.
