Patricia A. Resick

Patricia A Resick is Professor of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences, Duke University. She developed cognitive processing therapy (CPT) in 1988 and has been conducting research and therapy on trauma and PTSD for over 45 years. She has published hundreds of research articles and has won numerous research and mentoring awards including Lifetime Achievement Awards from the American Psychological Association (division 56, trauma), the International Society of Traumatic Stress Studies and the Association of Behavioral and Cognitive Therapies.
