Nicola Peake

Nicola grew up as an only child in a council house in Birmingham. She didn’t really enjoy school, and as soon as she could work she found herself a waitressing job. She left school at 16, as the fun and excitement of working with new people was a much better option to her than having to do her A Levels!

At 17, she decided to look for a new job, and she landed a job in a bank, even after an awful Maths grade at GCSE. By 20, Nicola was a young Mom, progressing into new roles within the bank. She was stubborn, ambitious and wanted to succeed, even when people didn't think she could, so she studied and within a few years, she was a qualified financial adviser.

Nicola loved her work, she met so many incredible people, from her colleagues to her clients. However after spending over 20 years building her career, it all crashed down around her, and after a year of hell Nicola decided to give up the career she had worked so hard to build, to pursue happiness instead.

She took a huge risk to create her own new business, with no experience, no money and no idea on what to do or where to start. Nicola grew this business to 6 figures within 12 months, before selling it. Although she loved the business and it was a huge success, she missed spending time with others, and working alone every day led her to not enjoy running the business she lovingly built. She decided that she had risked everything once, and of course she could do it again, so she created and launched her second business. This was created through her passion to work with people again, and to help to connect other business owners, who also wanted to be around people. Peakes Private Members Club was opened in December 2021, and this is now a successful networking business with over 100 incredible business owners. Without this business, I would not have so many amazing people in my life and this book would not be here.
