I work at the intersection of art, enterprise and activism. Fascinated by how idiosyncratic ideas become the norm, I have built up a reputation for my ability to anticipate the next big thing. My practice revolves around my passion for non-conformists, who challenge the status quo for the better good. I spread this contagion through curating events and hosting talks, public speaking engagements, consulting (trend and consumer market research/cultural insights) and authoring 2 books: The First to Know (www.thefirsttoknow.info) and The 2.5%. (www.tftk.info/the-2-5). I have a PhD about MTV (music television) from Goldsmiths College, hailed as a 'pioneering analysis' for which I was awarded 'London Student of the Year' (1996) and a MTV Video Music Award in 'Best Academic Achievement' (1999), a specially created category for me. (I was the only nominee, so I won 🙂). Described as ‘really hip’ by The Guardian, I’ve been featured as a ‘taste maker’ in prestigious online and print publications, radio & TV shows internationally.
