Fredrik Hamer

Fredrik Hamer (Utrecht) is a Dutch writer, artist and cartoonist. He has published several Dutch and English books and magazines. His music is available on all streaming services.

Fredrik was born in the old center of Utrecht, the third of eight children. The introduction to Dalton Education changed his life. It was all about creativity and self-development. In the sixth grade, Fredrik came into contact with writing. Together with a classmate, he wrote two plays. These were performed by fellow students for parents and other interested parties. Excerpts of the play for the first grade about gnomes were broadcast on national television (Vara). His essays were always read aloud by enthusiastic teachers. From then on, writing became a hobby.

Fredrik debuted in 2013 with the children's book The Daddy Girl. More books soon followed. These included titles like The Kits, Nappy Baby, Dr. Oddmettle, and Underground Adventure. Professionally, Fredrik earned his money as an ICT specialist. After a business closure and a short period of unemployment, the Dutchman started his own business. Fredrik developed apps, made animations and posters, and wrote more books. He also published a board game (Train Pain).

Today, Fredrik is officially retired. However, he remains active as a writer, artist, and cartoonist. More work follows.
