Angelique Burrell

ANGELIQUE BURRELL is a writer and author of A Mark in the Road, which won the 2023 Illinois Author Project “Soon to be Famous” award and is a 2025 Kindle Book Review “Best of Indie” young adult semifinalist. Her second young adult novel, The Silent Deep, will release in March 2027. For over 30 years, Angelique taught high school English, including creative writing, in a suburb of Chicago; currently, she is a full-time writer and part-time procrastinator. She is blessed to have a supportive husband who doesn't mind her binge-writing, a daughter and son to bounce ideas off of, and a labrador retriever to distract her from writing. Angelique is a native Illinoisan, but when she can, she leaves the plains to travel to Lake Tahoe, California, to hang out in the mountains.
