Anders F Jonsson

Anders F. Jonsson holds a Master of Science degree in aeronautical engineering from the Royal Institue of Technology in Stockholm, Sweden, specializing in aerodynamics and structural engineering.

He has recently retired, after a career spanning more than 35 years, most recently working in the telecommunications industry with 3G, 4G and 5G mobile systems research and development at Ericsson.

Prior to that he worked in the Swedish defence industry with aerodynamics, structural and systems engineering, project management and marketing for various Ericsson and SAAB owned companies with tactical electronic warfare and training systems both for vehicular and aircraft applications, including the jamming pods U22, U25, ERIJAMMER A100 and U95, and the electronic countermeasures suites for the AJ37, JA37 Viggen and JAS39 Gripen aircraft.

His first book “WW1 Aircraft Performance” was first published in hardback in 2023, and in now also available in paperback.

He is currently working on his second book which is titled “Fighter Performance Volume 1, Design, aerodynamics and flight performance for the Spitfire Mk I & the Bf 109 E, Battle of Britain era.” which is planned to be published in mid 2025.
