Eva Enkelmann is a geology professor with extensive experience in mountain building research. Born and raised in Germany, Eva spent many years living in the USA before moving to Calgary in 2017. With a passion for exploration, Eva has led expeditions in the Himalaya, Tibet, Alaska and the Canadian Cordillera to further her knowledge of mountain building processes.
When Eva is not teaching or conducting research, she can often be found exploring the Canadian Rockies through skiing, climbing and hiking. She is an avid supporter of education outside and has dedicated much of her time to inspiring the next generation of scientists and explorers.
Eva is a published author and has contributed to many academic journals in her field of study. Her writing is both informative and engaging, making it accessible to a wide audience. She is a sought-after speaker and has given talks at various conferences and events.
