Dom Nicholls

I'm a journalist at the Telegraph newspaper, based in London, where I write on defence, security and intelligence matters. I previously, served in the British Army as a tank commander, helicopter pilot and special forces officer and saw operational service in Iraq, Afghanistan, the Balkans and Northern Ireland.

My debut novel, MILE ONE POINT SIX, was released on April 17, 2023. I joined Jericho Writers a couple of years ago to help me translate journalist word-mangling into prose for fiction. They've been really helpful, both with information, thoughts and comments available to members, but also with the extra editorial services to which aspiring writers can connect.

I decided to self-publish MILE ONE POINT SIX as I enjoyed the amount of control I had over the final product. Of course, I still had to buy-in services from content and copy editors, cover designers and others, but it was good to be in the driving seat (plus the royalties are MUCH better for self-pub).

Thanks for your interest and I hope you enjoy meeting Betsy Trenmore-Halford. I've got more plans for her - and her headstrong goddaughters.
