"Can we rise again", published internationally in 2023, is a new book that takes the readers into the world of autism in a way never written before. Somehow everything surrounding Autism came together in our family. history, science, and life itself. Did we really have a chance?

It is also an openhearted story about all the good, yes extraordinaire things we accomplished, but also the things that are so hard to handle that they are almost out of words.

It`s also a unique story of a family that never gave up. We went through so many different challenges beyond imaginable. We were "The family with the autistic child". But life had other plans for us.

We had a successful business, but at some point, we had to make the toughest decision ever made in our professional careers. Should we give him away, and continue our business? Or should we stay together as a family? We had already taken that decision when he was diagnosed as a child, and we were advised by the doctors to give him away. Now, besides life itself, we also had a successful career to take into consideration. Had we changed, or had success changed us? Or were family still as important for us as back then?

Our son, Nico, is now 30 years old. He has the most severe form of autism. I not only describe the different angles of the behavior connected to that diagnose, but also how to handle the different channelges, how to find "The autism codes".
