Elizabeth Vigil is the Associate Director for Orientation and Special Programs at The University of Alabama. She is a proud first-generation Latina student and considers herself a life-long learner. She currently has three degrees which span the areas of Socio-Cultural Anthropology, Literature, and Higher Education Administration; and is working on her doctorate in Rhetoric and Political Discourse. Prior to her current role in Alabama, Elizabeth worked for two large Hispanic Serving Institutions in financial aid and athletics and oversaw a parent and family program which served a bilingual community. She is the editor of Listos para la universidad, the Spanish language version of College Ready.
