I was hit by a tree in 2009, breaking my spine and many bones, causing me to spend 16 months in hospital. Upon my arrival in rehabilitation, I started writing my memoir 'Alive and not Kicking'. I'm still writing it and will publish the book in 2024, the 15th anniversary of acquiring a spinal cord injury.
I'm a member of Writers SA in Adelaide and have attended countless writing courses to improve my writing ability.
In 2020, I published the book 'The Eighteen Point Five', allowing twenty-five people to share their personal and honest experiences living with disabilities and disorders.
When I heard about AI tools, such as chatGBT, Mid Journey, Canva and others, I watched many Youtube videos to learn how to use these technologies. I publish puzzle books, including colouring, word search, scrambled, and sudoku books. Why? I want these books to be enjoyable and affordable and show other people with spinal injuries that you can achieve much after acquiring a spinal injury.
I've also written an illustrated children's book about a cat that appeared in our front garden and decided to stay with us - 'Spartacus the Cat'.
