The Writer:

She considers herself fortunate to have had the experiences and mentoring provided to her over the years. Arsego earned her B.A. in English Studies from St. Joseph College in West Hartford, CT, (now the University of Saint Joseph), and has a career with the City of Bristol, CT where she resides with her beloved feline companion, Big Mitts Mackenzie, aka Mack.

Swirl Ink Publications:

Cadence: Poems (2023) is not only her debut book, but also the first from her private label, Swirl Ink Publications, named as a nod to the style of drawing her mother enlisted to keep Arsego occupied as a child. Behind the Blue: Poetry & Prose followed in the Spring of 2024.

The Books:

Cadence: Nature infused, with observations made while enjoying the famous four seasons in New England. Reflective, thoughtful poetry shared in three sections, these pieces look out at the natural world and draw inspiration, lessons and imagery in. -- 6 x 9 Paperback and on Kindle

Behind the Blue: Reflective and deeply personal with a cosmic bent as references and employment of various heavenly elements is woven throughout its four sections. In this collection, Arsego moves the reader from the darker, harder emotions of anxiety, depression, and grief, into light, hope and encouragement with varying shades of gray in between. Blue was completed in the weeks following her initial cancer diagnosis and surgery. -- 6 x 9 Paperback

Scenes and Sonnets: A stunning collaboration between Massachusetts Artist and Photographer, Wendy Tobin, and Arsego, Scenes and Sonnets is a gorgeous art book that is ideal for gift giving, and all forms of tables, from end to coffee to bedside! This project began as a seed thought from Tobin as the publisher, who provided Arsego with a number of her original photos to write any form of poetry for. Arsego then challenged herself to write one sonnet per photo, twenty in total, with a mix of traditional and modern style sonnets. Arsego is especially proud of the results of this project and drew on personal experiences as well as the depth of Tobin's photos to create her verse. -- 7 x 7 Hardcover
