Don Kress

Don Kress is not your typical children’s book author. While Don’s college degree is in science, his passion has been as a composer and musician. Don has composed everything from classical to jazz to contemporary music - and even the opening for an animated preschool series. Most likely, he never saw himself as a children’s book author.

The inspiration for Scarback came from Don’s love of wolves. This book is a tribute to the wolf who used to frequent his yard, Scarback. Don’s hope is that this book will be a beautiful reminder of a life well-lived and well-loved for all of those who read it.
