Rev. Sam J Lees is a British poet and a priest in the Church of England.
Having roots as a rapper clearly influences his style of poetry, with streamlined rhythm and rhyme schemes throughout. Sam does not stand on ceremony, and allows both his sense of humour and colloquial mannerisms take centre stage - the result is sometimes serious, often cheeky and always accessible poetry.
Since retiring from music, Sam has launched his first official collection entitled: Poems Amidst the Piety in which he launches a scathingly entertaining assault on the far extremes of Christian culture, whilst also bringing to light some of the hidden issues in church politics.
