Dan St. John

The author was raised in inner city Chicago, in a housing projects. His current book "The Happiness Behind Conscience" is the authors first book, he has mostly written letters and hopes to publish his book of letters at some point. He is finishing a second book about life in federally funded housing projects during the fifties and sixties which explores the identity issues that existed, and still exist today, mainly because of societal labels and other systemic issues placed on the poor by various programs and other influences by society. The author explores this issue of recalling his experiences in the projects and the need for the poor to self-identify which is the respect that can only come from within each person.
