Dr. Michelle Georgette Haj-Broussard

Dr. Michelle Haj-Broussard is a retired Associate Professor from the Department of Curriculum and Instruction at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette. For 30 years, Michelle has worked to expand language immersion and professional development for immersion teachers. She taught at the K-12 level, both French and French Immersion, for over 10 years. Michelle has taught in higher education for 15 years in a number of areas ranging from, Foreign Language Methodology, English as a Second Language, and Immersion Methodology. She also worked with Dr. Maria Bravo to create a community language learning program for English speaking and Spanish speaking community members to share their languages with each other called Idioma United.
