J. J. Dutra

Ms. Dutra is a retired Registered Nurse who loved to go fishing onboard the F/V Richard & Arnold, with her husband, until his death in 2016. She has written three self-published books: a memoir, Nautical Twilight The Story of a Cape Cod Fishing Family, and two historic mystery novels set in the late 1930's, The Fishermen's Ball and Dead Low Tide. Her latest book is a third James Crowley Mystery- The Crow. Ms. Dutra has written Federally funded grants, short stories, magazine and newspaper articles. The author has appeared at numerous local speaking events, including TV and radio, book signings at libraries, bookstores and festivals. Ms Dutra lives in North Truro, MA where she enjoys gardening, walks on the beach with her Carin Terrier, reading, and especially writing.
