Dimitrios A. Lamprou

Professor Dimitrios A. Lamprou is Chair in Biofabrication & Advanced Manufacturing at Queen's University Belfast, where he also serves as Director of Internationalisation and Programme Director for the MSc in Industrial Pharmaceutics.

His research focuses on advanced drug delivery systems, pharmaceutical manufacturing, biofabrication, microfluidics, nanomedicine, biomaterials, and personalised medicines. His work bridges pharmaceutical sciences, engineering, and emerging healthcare technologies, with a strong emphasis on translating research into real-world healthcare solutions.

Professor Lamprou has authored and edited numerous books, book chapters, and peer-reviewed publications covering topics including drug delivery, pharmaceutical technologies, biofabrication, advanced manufacturing, medical devices, and emerging healthcare innovations. He has delivered over 230 invited lectures, keynote presentations, and seminars internationally.

Beyond research, he actively collaborates with academic institutions, healthcare organisations, industry partners, and policymakers worldwide to advance innovation, education, and international partnerships in pharmaceutical and healthcare sciences.
