BIOGRAPHY
Renate has a B.S. in Education and Psychology from East Stroudsburg University. She retired in 2011 from the Social Work field working with Child Protective Services. After retirement Renate was a substitute teacher and a facilitator for Chikd Assault Prevention in the schools. She currently volunteers as a Field Advocate for AFSP (American Foundation for Suicide Prevention) and as a Certified Peer Recovery Specialist at a local Recovery Community Center. She is also involved in advocacy for Mental Health, Suicide, Addiction and Fentanyl Awareness. She hopes to help others by telling her story.
Renate lives in Hardwick, NJ with her husband and her dog Grits.
