Kay Kizer

Dr. Kay Kizer, an Army Veteran and founder of Kay's Carry-On is the Visionary Author of The Faces of Foster Care anthology series. Through her writing and advocacy, she empowers for alumni along with foster youth and champions resilience, awareness, and hope within the foster care community.

Drawing upon her military background, academic achievements, and leadership experience, Dr. Kizer continues to advance initiatives that provide comfort, representation, and voice to youth in care. Her innovative projects--including Kay's Carry-On Comfort Totes and The Faces of Foster Care Storybook Pillow--extend her mission of advocacy beyond the page, creating tangible resources of hope and healing.
