David Saks

Hello from Canyon Country, CA/USA, my name is David Saks and I was born and raised in Los Angeles, CA. When I was growing up, I wanted to be a Major League Baseball Player. That was a wonderful dream, but reality brought acceptance of my limited skills, so I entered college at California State University, Northridge as a Radio, TV & Film major pursuing a career as a Baseball broadcaster - I spent most of my youth with a transistor radio under my pillow - listening to the voice of God - Vin Sculley paint a picture of Dodger games with amazing words and stories. I worked at the campus radio station for one semester, screening callers on a talk show. As soon as I realized that this would be my radio career for four years, I switched my major to Communication and embraced my ability to write and speak with confidence. Eventually, I earned my Bachelor's degree and Master's Degree in Speech Communication which I have practiced and used throughout my life.

The first part of my career was in Warehouse Management and I worked in Distribution Centers from 35,000 square feet to 1,000,000 square feet in Los Angeles, CA - Somerville, NJ - Reno, NV - Danville, IL - East Lansing, MI. While we lived in Reno, NV, our son shared his experience in the Elementary School cafeteria that became my recently published book, NASTY CORN.

Although we have been very fortunate to travel across the USA and many countries abroad, the inspiration for my series of Street Art Books (STREET ART U.S. - UTILITY BOX STREET ART & STREET ART U.S. - ART BY LISA KELLY) was discovered while visiting Israel and falling in love with Street Art there. On the plane ride home, I thought about looking (actually chasing Street Art in Los Angeles and the USA - you can find me on instagram as dsaks81streetartchaser) for Street Art and in a short amount of time, I had over 2,000 photos of Street Art in my cell phone. As I posted Street Art on my facebook page, many suggested I produce a book. I find Street Art everywhere and the more I share, the more Street Art fans enjoy my passion.

I hope you will too!
