Samuel Bell

Samuel Bell lives in Cedar Hill, which is just a few miles southwest of Dallas, Texas. He lives with his girlfriend of 12 years, Chouk Bolden. Between the two they have six children.

Samuel was a product of the turbulent 60’s and early 70’s. Attending three different colleges during this time period, Howard Payne University, Angelina College and Stephen F. Austin University. Finally settling in at the University of Hard Knocks, AKA U. S. Army. The two years spent in military during the final days of the Vietnam War, gave him the focus and desire to return to college and finish school.

Graduating from Stephen F. Austin University in 1982 with a teacher’s certification in Speech Communication and Physical Education allowed Samuel to exercise two of his great passions. Coaching Football and public speaking. Shortly after taking his first teaching job, Samuel and his first wife divorced. To supplement his income Samuel joined the U. S. Army Reserves in 1985. Where he spent 10 years. It was during this period of time his unit was activated and sent to Saudi Arabia to fight in the first Gulf War. While on active duty as an Army Reservist he was inspired to keep a running account of daily occurrences while in camp Which he turned into this book “Saudi Adventure”.

Samuel left the reserves in 1995 to further his teaching and coaching career. He retired from teaching in 2016.
