I published the first edition of Basketball Scouting Techniques in May of 2016 and have published 2 other editions with the most recent one being published in February of 2022. I worked as a basketball coach for 24 years in addition to evaluating talent for the amateur and professional basketball levels for the past 29 years. I have also published several other articles surrounding the game from a historical and evaluation perspective that covered topics based on international professional basketball and the NBA.

I wrote the 3 editions of Basketball Scouting Techniques to share my knowledge and what I have learned over the past 29 years. Will reading my book help you become an NBA scout or good recruiter? It will certainly give you foundational information to help achieve that. Some of the information in the book maybe information or techniques you may already know or be aware of, but there is probably techniques and information you are unaware of in the book.
