Karley, originally from Missouri and now living in Illinois, is a wife and mother of two daughters. Her passion for writing children's books is deeply personal, inspired by her own family's experiences. Both of her daughters were born with medical complexities, which opened Karley's eyes to the significant lack of representation and inclusion in society. Wanting to ensure her children grow up in a world where diversity is embraced, she set out to be part of the solution.
Driven by this mission, Karley focuses her writing on themes of mental health, disabilities, inclusion, and diversity. She began writing articles and children's books to promote representation and education. Karley passionately believes that every individual, child or adult, should feel seen, celebrated, and proud of their uniqueness. Her work seeks to dismantle the stigmas surrounding mental health and disabilities, educating society on how diverse we truly are. Through her writing, she hopes to normalize meaningful representation and make it a standard rather than an exception.
