Enchanted from an early age by the realms of heroic fantasy, magic, and rich world-building, David Catuhe took an unexpected path: becoming a software engineer.

Yet the dreams of his childhood never truly faded.

After years of forging his way in the tech world, a spark at 45 rekindled his passion for the fantastical. With brush and pen in hand, he dared to return to his roots, and from that bold leap, entire universes emerged: first Tales of Illuminaria, then the sweeping Cycle of the Titans saga.

Now based in Seattle with his wife and daughter, David draws inspiration from the magic woven into games like Magic: The Gathering and World of Warcraft. His journey is living proof that it’s never too late to chase wonder, and shape it into reality
