Claudia Walker

Claudia Walker is an Oakland based author, speaker, and former principal whose work has been featured in Forbes, Essence, and Black Enterprise. As a proud second generation HBCU graduate and former Wall Street analyst, her best-selling book series, The ABCs of HBCUs and The ABCs of Black Wall Street are inspired by her undergraduate experiences at Spelman College and her love of Black history.

In 2020, she launched HBCU Prep School - a multimedia education company that amplifies Black history and financial literacy through children's books, puzzles, stationery videos, classes and apparel. In 2022, The ABCs of Black Wall Street has earned multiple accolades including Essence Magazine's list of "Favorite Children's Books by Black Authors" and "The Best of the Best" list by the Black Caucus American Library Association.

In 2023, four of Claudia's books were featured in Target stores as part of their Black History Month collection. Soon after, Claudia and her daughter were invited to The White House to and announced an upcoming book series on cybersecurity.
