Annie Pace Scranton

Annie Pace Scranton founded Pace PR in 2010 when her passion for storytelling blossomed into what is now an award-winning agency focused on business strategy, development, and media relations. She leads Pace PR’s results-driven team with a collaborative approach and a commitment to continuous professional growth for all clients and staff. Prior to starting Pace PR, Annie was a seasoned television producer who worked for nearly a decade booking guests for major networks including CNN, Fox News, CNBC, MSNBC, and ABC. Those connections continue to give Annie a competitive edge over others in the field as she, and the Pace team, steadily land their clients interviews on those networks and more.

Highlights of client work include working with the successful travel company Away in its first two years of business, assisting with media relations efforts, and landing numerous Tier 1 placements for the brand and its founders. One of her most interesting clients was Jeff Ashton—the prosecutor in the highly publicized Casey Anthony trial—whom Annie secured multiple sought-after interviews at the end of the trial. She also coordinated with good friend Lisa Sharkey at HarperCollins to land Ashton a book deal for “Imperfect Justice,” which ultimately became a New York Times bestseller and Lifetime movie starring Rob Lowe.

As technology and media evolve, Annie is always keeping Pace. Most recently, she launched a successful podcast, The PR Pace, where she interviews some of the industry’s biggest players, as well as many of Pace’s clients and team members. Annie’s new book, “The Guide to Earned Media” debuted in August 2023, published by Kogan Page.

Never one to sit still, Annie also finds time to teach the next generation of public relations professionals at NYU’s School of Professional Studies. Outside of her business, Annie served on the Board of Directors for the New York Smith College Club and the Executive Committee for the Catholic Big Sisters & Big Brothers. She is also a member of the New York Women in Communications, The Step Up Network, Ladies Who Launch, the PR Council, PRSA, PRBI, and Diversity Action and Alliance. Pace PR was certified as a Minority and Women Owned Business Enterprise in the state of New York in 2023.

Annie also speaks on PR, women in business, and the importance of personal branding. She has appeared at events across the country, including Hopperx1 New York City, Silicon Slopes, Startup Grind Global Conference, and Women Impact Tech Conference.

Annie is a Smith College graduate, where she served as the Editor-in-Chief of the weekly newspaper, The Sophian. She also received her Masters in Public Relations from NYU in 2018 and taught Introduction to Media Relations at Hofstra University.

Annie and her family live in Manhattan.
