Born and raised in Alabama, Kathleen has always been a creative person. From an early age, she was drawing and making up stories to go along with her characters and creatures. She grew up watching the Lord of the Rings, the Chronicle of Narnia, and several other movies that fostered her creativity in the fantasy genre. In middle school, she was inspired to write thanks to the book Inkheart by Cornelia Funke; even now, it’s a book and movie that she goes back to with fond memories.
When she was in high school, she wrote her first manuscript, but she never edited or planned on publishing that first story (don’t worry; she does plan on overhauling the story and rewriting it.)
Years later, Kathleen started another novel project while working at an extrusion plant, and she started writing several other stories along with her first published novel, Arboriah Lux.
It has always been her dream to tell her stories and that they reach people, helping them to escape the pressures of the real world, even if it’s only for a little while.
She still lives in her hometown in Alabama, where she reads, writes, draws, manages her publishing company and her YouTube channel, and also visits the occasional anime convention to share a glimpse of the stories she’s created. She has a cat named Tolkien, and another named Mocha.
