Born and raised London, England, far from Downtown Abbey. After early shiftless but adventurous years – always reading, often writing - came to US and the theatre.

Performed in over 200 plays, directed 100. Numerous awards. Study Fellowships to Ireland, Greece, Japan, Prague, England, France.

1980- 2009 toured Pacific NW delivering Chautauqua lecture-performances on poets and playwrights.

1993 – 2009: Artistic Director, Classic Greek Theatre of Oregon – created English versions of 16 ancient Greek plays.

2011, relocated to the Ozarks. 10 years managing tours at Crescent Hotel, Eureka Springs.

“My preference is for stories that don’t actually conclude. What happens next? is my favorite ending. With much remaining unresolved on the last page, hopefully the stories will continue to propagate as readers continue the stories for themselves. The stories have been let out of the book.

As an actor I can’t help writing to be read aloud. I write with one intent: to entertain - I wouldn’t know what to change the world into, even if I could. “
