Martha Howard, MD is one of the first practitioners of integrative medicine in the United States. She has been integrating family practice and Chinese traditional medicine since she received her MD degree from Loyola University Stritch School of Medicine in 1982. In 1985 she was the first woman doctor in Chicago to be given hospital privileges to practice acupuncture. She has been practicing integrative medicine for 41 years. Her passion is helping people understand how their whole environment affects their health, and giving them the tools to change their environment--helping them change their air, water, food, and even friends, marriage, or work from harmful to supportive and healthful.
