Hi everyone!

I’m a novelist and former journalist and teacher. This year three of my books were released.

For nearly twenty years I worked as a newspaper correspondent, first for Tulsa World and then for The Daily Oklahoman, the two largest papers in the state. To date, I have sold 17 books to traditional, royalty-paying publishers, including Augsburg Fortress, Honor Books and others. I’ve also had over 2,000 articles published in magazines and newspapers, such as Writer’s Digest, Writer’s Journal, Child Life and others. I’ve sold to all age groups from toddlers to senior citizens. I enjoy writing tremendously and am fulfilling my childhood dream. So, I feel blessed.

Due to an assignment from the Oklahoma State Department of Education, I have short stories, poems and articles that are presently being used in the state standardized tests in all of the Oklahoma public schools.

I was born and raised in South Dakota and received two B.S. degrees, in Journalism and Family Consumer Science, from South Dakota State University. I got my master’s in Education with a Journalism/Mass Communication focus and my doctoral degree in e-learning. I reside with my husband in McAlester, OK. We have two sons and three grandchildren.
