Robert Barrio is an author living in New Brunswick, Canada, with his wife Robin. When not creating new sci-fi thriller novels Robert enjoys spending time in the garden during the summer as well as going for walks while dreaming up new book ideas. Travelling is something Robert and Robin enjoy as well and they take every chance to explore near and far when they can.
My ideal story is one that uplifts a regular person after they overcome many struggles. The sci fi thriller genre is one that keeps you turning pages to see what happens next, and making a hero out of someone that wouldn't regularly be one just adds to the excitement.

The Gift - Max Large finds himself in 1868 after a strange boating accident. He finds his girlfriend Becca but soon realizes it's not really her, and she dies on her 24th birthday propelling Max 24 years into the future. With his world, and the people around him having their world fall apart Max has little time to figure out how he will keep Becca from dying, if he can find his way back to her in the present day.
The Surfacing - After the disappearance of his girlfriend, Brent Fisher finds himself surrounded by murders and mystery as strange deaths begin happening in his home town of Fortune. An old drunk, Farley Morgan, predicts that evil creatures will rise up from the depths and many human losses will be suffered as the town is ravaged. Brent will have to overcome many challenges as an epic battle to defeat the creatures leaves him questioning if they can become victorious.
Visions of the Night - Roddy Michaels is special. He can see the future. Years after witnessing his mother's death in a vision and not being able to stop it, he has a vision that predicts many murders in the small town of St. Andrews. Roddy enlists the help of his good friend, Bobbi, and the mayor of the town to try and stop the murders before the town is devastated by the evil from the horrific visions.
Parallel - Judd Smoke has the opportunity to live his dream and has been offered a chance to try out for a MLB team. What he doesn't know is he is being followed by, Egr, a hunter from a parallel universe. Judd becomes suspicious when he feels someone is following him around Palm Beach, where his tryouts take place. When Judd's wife, Ayda, is mistakenly taken to another planet by Egr, Judd sets out with a cabbie, a carnie, and a new friend from another planet, on a wild journey between universes to get her safely back to Earth.
Shifter - Cosmos Starfield, peers through his telescope in his backyard observatory, when an, "Aha," escapes his lips. With the evidence he's been looking for he sets out to prove that shapeshifting aliens plan to attempt a takeover of Earth, and they have been posing as humans for years. With time running out he enlists the help of a friend and an old colleague to get proof in the "nests" situated all over North America. Cosmos is met with many challenges as he rides a wave of alien contact, sure to doom the human race if he can't stop their plans.
