Vijay Behere

The Author Vijay Behere is a chemical engineer and has more than 45 years to experience in the field of fibre-cement products. He started his carrier in Research then moved to production. Subsequently, he worked as plant head in number of plants. Later he became operations head -managing a Pune based company's five plants. He retired in October 2020 from the position of President (Technical). He was also involved in setting up three green field plants. Presently he is Technical Advisor in same Pune based company.

He is credited with improving operational efficiencies of number of plants, turning around couple of loss making plants, introducing new technologies for existing and new products.
